About the Senior New Product Introduction Program Manager

HPE SimpliVity is currently seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates for a Senior New Product Introduction Program Manager to be located in Westborough, MA or Fort Collins, CO. No relocation assistance available.

In this role, you will lead a cross-functional team to deliver a product(s), service(s), or solution(s) to external customers. Team members typically include R&D, Product Management, Supply Chain, Services, Quality, Product Operations, Marketing, Finance, etc.

As the Senior New Product Introduction Program Manager, you will drive the core product design team to meet or exceed ongoing program objectives, including Product Changes, Features, Cost, Quality, Schedule, Fulfillment / Continuity of Supply, Solution delivery across products and service offerings, and Customer-Specific needs. In addition, you will manage the program meetings / deliverables, product lifecycle activities, and LOB governance process requirements, while maintaining focus on NPI, sustaining, and end-of-life activities.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Establish clear objectives and deliverables for each program that supports the Business Unit (BU) objectives

  • Develop product lifecycle deliverable document(s), schedule timely executive review, and deliver phase reviews along with interim updates

  • Track progress, report status, and make necessary corrections to achieve program objectives

  • Establish working relationships and influence/persuade at all levels, including subordinates, peers, and executive level

  • Manage major risks and issues through effective contingency planning and proper escalation

  • Drive team to deliver quality results at, or better than, quality goals

  • May manage other non-product or solution cross-business initiatives; examples include process and ecosystem improvement program

  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent

  • 6+ years’ experience in product cross-functional management or different functional areas: Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations

  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills

  • Experience with integrating Agile development and traditional waterfall processes

  • Experience in hardware and/or software new product introductions

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Strong team leader who can achieve results within a largely distributed team

  • Able to present, communicate, and influence business unit executive leaders

  • An effective and creative problem solver with a sense of urgency and transparency

  • Able to lead multiple high-visibility programs, moderately complex in nature (technology, organizationally)
