The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has 25 faculty members, 450 undergraduates, and 200 graduate students. It has research programs in Communications and Signal Processing; Computer Engineering; Lasers, Optics, and Applications; Controls and Robotics; Electric Power and Energy Systems; and Electromagnetics and Remote Sensing. The department participates in the CSU Information Science and Technology Center, the CSU-CHILL National Radar Facility, and the NSF Engineering Research Center for Collaborative Adaptive Sensing of the Atmosphere. It is home to the headquarters of the NSF Engineering Research Center for Extreme Ultraviolet Science and Technology. Many faculty in ECE hold courtesy appointments in the departments of Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics, and collaborate with faculty in these and other departments. Annual research expenditures are approximately $10M, and the department is ranked 23rd in the country based on citations to faculty research. The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Colorado State University is seeking a full-time postdoctoral fellow specializing in engineering education. The successful candidate will pursue research activities related to the NSF award 1519438 titled “Revolutionizing Roles to Reimagine Integrated Systems of Engineering Formation,” as part of the Revolutionizing Engineering Departments (RED) initiative.
Now in its third year, the project team seeks to conduct research and analyze data related to the project. The fellow will have the opportunity to work as part of a larger team dedicated to this initiative, and to participate in relevant meetings, conferences and workshops.
Required Job Qualifications
PhD in engineering education. Extensive knowledge of the principles and techniques of supporting and assessing engineering learning. Strong written communication and organizational skills. Candidate must have completed their Ph.D. requirements by the start date.
Preferred Job Qualifications
BS or MS degree in electrical engineering. Academic and/or professional experience and related to the above research areas is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated the ability to perform both qualitative and quantitative analyses. Preference will be given to candidates with prior publications in a closely related research area.

Both independently and in a team environment, the postdoctoral fellow will design and conduct research, collect data, and perform statistical analysis. Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis.
