Job Description

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review incoming lease and loan documents to ensure they meet the requirements of the credit approval.

  • Respond to the Company’s lease brokers within 24 hours of document receipt to request required (missing) approval contingencies needed in order to fund the transaction.

  • Follow up with broker/lessee for any pending items; including outstanding pre-funds, original documents and shortfall checks.

  • Respond to the Company’s leases brokers on all inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Responsible in maintaining an organized and efficient workflow of lease and loan files to review, respond, and fund in a timely manner.

  • Conduct verbal D & A (delivery and acceptance) of equipment with the Company’s customers on every funded transaction.

  • File and follow up on all UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) filings with the appropriate state.

  • Maintain a high level of focus and accuracy when reviewing incoming lease and loan documents.

  • Understand various methods of tax treatment dependent upon the asset and state and county requirements.

  • Develop solid understanding of broker special programs

  • Prepare transactions for funding including data entry in the Vision operating system, UPS shipment labels, UCC filings, and purchase orders.

  • Educate and assist brokers on Company funding guidelines, requirements, procedures and the online document system.

  • Maintain knowledge and stay current on all federal, state, county, and Company funding requirements.

  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Other Duties:

  • Assist the processing and customer service areas when assigned.

  • Assist with filing.

  • Assume a higher level of workflow when department personnel are absent or on vacation.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required (unless otherwise noted):

  • High School Diploma plus three to five (3-5) years’ small-ticket equipment leasing experience or relevant bank loan, title or mortgage closing experience.

  • For internal consideration of grade level 2: the employee must demonstrate the minimum years of experience in conjunction with consistent and satisfactory job performance ratings.

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of applicable state and federal regulations (i.e. HIPAA guidelines, FDCPA and FCRA regulations, credit approval process, etc.).

  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

  • Ability to stay knowledgeable and current on all federal, state, county, and Company funding requirements.

  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, email, and basic internet usage.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Must be detail oriented.

  • Ability to work well under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines in a timely manner.

  • Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

  • Ability to handle a high work volume while maintaining proper due diligence and accuracy.

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently with little direct guidance.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the Credit department and across the organization.

  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse workforce.
