Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer This position is located in the Fort Collins, Colorado office. This role will help develop HPE's new cloud management software. It includes user interface development, building Kubernetes services, Go language development, software testing and test automation (with python) and other general cloud and virtualization technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test and deliver software to implement features and architectural requirements

  • Analyze design and determine coding, programming, and integration activities required based on general objectives and knowledge of overall architecture of product or solution.

  • Write and execute complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application

  • Identify, debug, and create solutions for issues with code and integration into application architecture

  • Provide quality documentation for solutions you develop

  • Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.

  • Work with engineering managers to develop and improve world-class coding standards, design patterns and practices.

  • Consistently evaluate current or emerging technologies to shape strategic design of services in consideration of cost, portability, compatibility, or usability factor

  • Evolution of the software engineering practice within the organization

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent

  • Typically 3-5 years’ experience

The successful candidate will possess many of the following knowledge and skills:

  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or Java and/or C++ programming languages

  • Practical knowledge of CI/CD using Jenkins (preferred)

  • Delivering within Agile development approaches, frameworks and methodologies

  • Experience with public cloud computing services, such as Azure,AWS is a plus

  • Experience with Big data search and analytics engine like elastic search is a plus

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

The successful candidate will possess some of the following knowledge and skills:

  • Experience with open source technologies

  • Experience with Virtualization technologies such as KVM, VMWare ESX and Docker
