The Department of Clinical Sciences at the James L. Voss Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital is offering an annually renewable clinical faculty position in Small Animal Orthopedic Surgery. This 12-month renewable, special (non-tenure track) appointment faculty at the rank of Clinical Instructor position is designed for ACVS and/or ECVS-board-certified veterinarians.

Required Job Qualifications
DVM or equivalent veterinary professional degree
ACVS board-eligible at the time of hire
Ability to provide superior patient care by utilizing CSU’s cutting edge surgical instrumentation (conventional and locking plates, i-Loc interlocking nail, IMEX external skeletal fixation, Kyon THR, Arthrex CUE, intraoperative imaging, arthroscopy, etc) and diagnostic technologies (CT, MRI, PET-CT, ultrasonography, kinetic & kinematic gait analysis)
Preferred Job Qualifications
ACVS and/or ECVS-board-certification at the time of hire
Strong interest in orthopedic surgery for treatment of lameness caused by disease and/or injury in dogs and cats

Job Duty Category Teaching/Advising/Mentoring
Effective teaching/training of veterinary students, interns and residents. Participation in weekly case presentations, journal clubs and daily case rounds will be expected. The successful candidate will work closely with other small animal orthopedic surgery faculty (3 ACVS Diplomates) as well as small animal orthopedic medicine faculty (1 ECVS/ACVSMR and 1 ECVS/ACVS/ACVSMR Diplomate).
