The Business System Analyst will monitor, maintain and evaluate the processes within METRIX, the Company’s proprietary tool & other client-based technologies for Revenue Cycle efficiencies; The Integration of processes & technology from Patient Access, Health Information Management, and Patient Financial Services, is a major component of the role. This position will lead the research and resolution of maintenance issues, oversee the support to end user telephone calls, & function as liaison to Software Engineering, Data-Services, and Operations Management regarding the support/integration of METRIX and other Revenue Cycle Technologies.

The Business Systems Analyst relies on operational and technical experience to plan, lead and accomplish goals. This position will perform a variety of tasks and support operations management in the Implementation & Integration of the METRIX System & other Revenue Cycle Technologies including developing detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to enhance operational workflows for Operations management review and approval. The Business Systems Analyst position reports to the Senior Manager, Client Solutions and will complete all job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Job Functions

  • Acute knowledge of Revenue Cycle and the correlation of each component within the Revenue Cycle.

  • Strong analytical and change management skills.

  • Manage maintenance and monitoring of master files.

  • Identify and evaluate enhancement opportunities within the Workflow Management system.

  • Create workflows and supporting documentation.

  • Troubleshoots & resolves user requests, issues, & conflicts.

  • Support implementations through expert insight and project management skills.

  • Acts as a liaison to Operations Management, Software Engineering, Data Services and Operations support functions.

  • Build internal/external client relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies redesign opportunities for operational workflows.

  • Lead the deployment of new projects transitioning to METRIX.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves METRIX user requests, issues, and conflicts.

  • Support the standardization and documentation of workflows and procedures.

  • Prepare all necessary documentation for enhancement features.

  • Manage exception-based scenarios & understand user requests to facilitate appropriate action steps.

  • Prioritize problems and requests (new and existing) according to severity.

  • Actively shares information with identified Management and Development Teams.

Client Responsibility

  • Maintain and document customized client-specific project settings.

  • Problem solve client concerns, issues, questions.

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related area of Revenue Cycle/Healthcare and or Technology or the equivalent in work experience.

  • 7 + years of experience in the Technology field or in a related area and be familiar with relational database concepts.

  • Proficiency in Excel- Required

  • Familiarity with a broad range of desktop applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Professional, Monarch Pro.

  • Healthcare background preferred

  • Strong communication skills to interact with management and end users

  • Ability to meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting skills

  • Extremely organized and detail oriented with a keen responsibility towards accuracy and sense of urgency

  • Ability to be accountable, take ownership and always support the interests of Navigant BPM.

Work Environment (if any)

  • Air Conditioned, Office Environment.

  • 95% regular office hours, 5%nights and weekends as necessary.

  • Up to 30% travel to Regional Service Centers and Project Sites.

  • Strong conceptual, as well as quantitative and qualitative analytical skills

  • Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work

  • Frequently travels by airplane, train or car as necessary to perform work at another location

  • Regularly uses close visual acuity and operates computer equipment to prepare and analyze and transmit data

  • Generally works in an office environment
