Role Summary:

The NAM MYA Sr. Sales Manager is responsible for leading multi-year services contract sales opportunities across the Power Services Gas portfolio in the assigned region. In this role, you will be responsible for commitments, convertible orders, cash and long term risk management on assigned deals across all product portfolios.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the MYA Sr. Sales Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate with Power Services Sales Managers and cross-functional Power Services teams to develop solutions that drive customer life-cycle value and meet GE business objectives

  • Structure, negotiate, and close multi-year service contracts that deliver profitable and productive MYA backlog and/or de-risk the NAM MYA installed base

  • Drive convertible orders, cash and contribution margin growth on assigned deals

  • Lead deal structuring, negotiation, and closure with customers partnering with commercial operations, risk, finance, engineering, Digital and business intelligence

  • Meet or exceed operational requirements: financial reporting, operating reviews, risk reviews

  • Maintain NEX accuracy for assigned deals

  • Own P5 and MYA process rigor for assigned deals

  • Lead financial calculations, proposal development, and terms negotiations with support of region CommOps, risk, and related Power Services teams

  • Collaborate with discovery, business intelligence, technology and Digital teams to develop strategies that maintain price through customer value

  • Maintain knowledge of market trends, and competitor actions

  • Share internally and use market knowledge to structure winning solutions and manage long term risk

  • Support inputs to region BluePrint and Growth Playbook

  • Build relationships with region ITO and OTR leaders

  • Integrate information, resources, and activities within the region and/or among global regions

  • Demonstrate commercial and technical expertise

  • Drive new unit MYA strategy and growth initiatives within the region

  • Support global thread by sharing / seeking out of best-practices and lessons learned with global PS region teams

  • Support projects in MYA segment to drive profitable growth and/or commercial efficiency

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related discipline from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation, large industrial sales, application engineering and/or marketing

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel 70 % of the time, as needed

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited university or college

  • Proven ability to close large and complex multi-year agreement services contracts

  • Proven ability to close Digital and/or equivalent outcome based services contracts

  • Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs

  • Strong coordination and influencing skills

  • Relationships / experience with Power Generation customers

  • Ability to effectively lead and energize multi-functional teams

  • Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs and business models

  • Strong ability with analytical software and sales tools (i.e., NEX, Excel, PPT etc.)

  • Proficient with long term service agreement accounting and financial metrics

  • In-depth knowledge and experience negotiating from standard contracts (i.e., Form 33C, ES104, SA, PUP7)

  • Deep understanding of Gas Turbine products, services and upgrades

  • Outcome selling experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
