Role Summary:

The Graduate Field Service Engineer, under direct supervision, will spend 6-12 months in the services graduate training program. In this role, you will spend time at training project sites throughout North America as well as possible international training.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Graduate Field Service Engineer, you will:

  • Upon completion of initial training period, be placed into one of the segments within the Services Group

  • Provide engineering assistance for a particular specialized area of a project or all phases of a project from initial development through marine / offshore commissioning

  • Assist and/or observe software development, including design / coding of components and modules according to detailed specifications and direction

  • Participate in the analysis and development of test plans

  • Generate test results and makes observations and/or recommendations for corrective action

  • Assist in hardware development and design

  • Develop and write functional specifications researching and compiling technical information and data as required

  • Develop drawings and schematics

  • Keep abreast of latest technological developments, and develop an understanding of company products and customer requirements

  • Perform assignments to support field engineering, including visits to installation and commissioning sites

  • Perform related engineering assignments as requested

  • Visit overseas offices in the United Kingdom, France and/or Germany

  • Provide engineering assistance for a particular specialized area of a project or all phases of a project from installation design through commissioning and service support

  • Assist in hardware installation and the safe / controlled energization and testing of equipment and systems

  • Assist in the safe and controlled testing of software functionality by following test plans and procedures

  • Collate and compile Test documentation

  • Maintain drawings, schematics and software code at current status

  • Perform related engineering assignments as required

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology or related field from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Electrical Engineering, Technology or related field experience)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability and willingness to travel 90% of the time following initial training period
